Say what you mean and mean what you say.
Texting and other forms of messaging make it difficult to catch emotion. Its much easier to simply say what you mean to say. In addition, once its out there, you can’t take back what you said, so be careful of what you say and be sure that you’re willing to back it up.
Know what medium to use
If you have a lot to say, then cramming it into 160 characters is not a good choice. If you have something urgent to say, leaving a message on a wall is not a good choice. The digital age allows us to communicate effectively if and only if you use it the right way.
Don’t be a victim of prank hacks
Log out, keep your phone on you, and don’t leave your stuff unattended. Your friends might think its funny and say things under your name, but this could cause drama. In addition, if what “you” said is taken badly, it makes your friends look bad too.
