Sarah Lewis, Student Life editor of the Michigan Journal, has been nominated by the UM-Dearborn Student Media Board as Editor-in-Chief for the 2012-2013 year. The recommendation was made to Vice Chancellor Stanley E. Henderson.

Lewis has served as Student Life Editor of the Journal since Fall 2011, to which she held the duties of covering campus events, writing stories and providing layout for the publication’s section.

More work is expected to be done on the publication’s website, michiganjournal.org.  Lewis hopes to bring more web-exclusive content, live blogs and feature other student organizations. Lewis is a junior, majoring in Journalism, and expects to graduate in Winter 2014.

In other action, the Media Board recommended these appointments:

Current general manager Paul Corsi for WUMD, radio station;

Pamela Satchwell for editor of Lyceum, literary arts journal;

Codi Rosochacki for executive producer of Campus Video Network, college film and television organization.

All the appointments are for the 2012-2013 academic year, and are subject to Henderson’s approval.
