The second game of preliminaries for Group A featured Team USA and their NBA superstar squad against Tunisia.

Tunisia, playing in their first Olympic Games, was outmatched by Team USA, having no NBA players on their roster. This led to the inevitable blowout, as Team USA cruised to a 110-63 victory to remain perfect during Olympic play.

The most impressive of the bench performances was achieved by Anthony Davis. Davis, the number one overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft, chipped in 12 points and a block in 14 minutes of play. Davis should continue to be a focal point throughout the Olympics for Team USA. This team lacks big man presence, but continues to dominate opponents with their ability to score points.

So far, Team USA leads Group A with a 2-0 record and four points. The opposition is steep in Group B, with Russia, Spain, and Brazil all owning 2-0 records. Most experts predict that Spain and Team USA are on a crash course to the Gold Medal Game, after their highly anticipated game in exhibition play.

Catch Team USA’s next game as they face off against Nigeria Thursday evening, at 5:15 PM Eastern Time.
