Hassen Berry took first place for the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolves Wrestling Club at the Fall Brawl. The Fall Brawl was at Grand Valley State University over the weekend. Berry is in the 184lb. weight class.

Berry became the first wrestler from UM-Dearborn to win an individual medal at a tournament in the NCWA (National Collegiate Wrestling Association). Berry is a graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn.

Along with Berry, Victor Nitos also medaled for the Wolves. He came in fourth place after injuring his shoulder and forfeiting his match.

Nitos is a graduate of L’Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township.

The club is in it’s second year on campus, and is coached by Grant MacKenzie, who is also in his second year with the club. If you are interested in competing with the wrestling club, contact Coach MacKenzie at grantmac@umd.umich.edu.
