Broomball playoffs are finally here. On Tuesday, November 27, Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) played Theta Tau (ΘΤ) and the Blue Barracudas took on Phi Sigma Phi (ΦΣΦ) for the first round.

In the first game, the TKEs drew first blood after nine minutes of play, followed by their second goal six minutes later, going into halftime up 2-0. During the second half, Theta Tau started holding off the TKEs and eventually scored with 4:02 left in the game.

Theta Tau’s offense was looking for the second goal, but didn’t have that much luck as the game ended 2-1 with the TKE’s advancing to the quarter-finals.

In the late game, Phi Sigma Phi challenged the Blue Barracudas to for a spot in the quarterfinals but things began to look grim for the Phi Sigs when the Barracudas got the first goal of the game just fifteen seconds after faceoff.

The Phi Sigs pushed hard to tie things up, but their offense could not produce throughout the game, allowing the Blue Barracudas to win 1-0, giving them their quarter-final slot against TKE.

On Thursday, the Sports Heroes played against District 5, followed by Delta Sigma Phi (ΔΣΦ) and Hostile Takeover later that night.
