Simplicity at its finest. A truly smooth and easy to use operating system, Windows Phone 8 brings a unique and simple operating system to the smartphone market.
Windows Phone 8 was just released and has hit the market running. The feel of the operating system is one that is almost too simple. The main home screen of the phone features individual tiles for each application.
The implication of a new feature known as live tiles allows each of those individual tiles to update without opening the app. The apps are technically “alive” in the sense that they update and change without even touching them.
Each tile can also be resized and moved to make for a more custom and unique experience. Windows Phone 8 also features wireless charging on most of the new smartphones. This is something that should have been around ages ago.
The fact that you can set your phone down on top of the charging plate and it simply charges is great. It removes the hassle of cords getting tangled and makes for a more tidy life. Windows Phone has been released on all carriers. Nokia and HTC recently released flagship phones that feature Windows Phone 8.
The Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC 8X are the flagships from each company. The Lumia 920 is fairly similar to the 8X. However, they have their differences. Some differences would be that the Lumia 920 has a couple of camera applications such as a panorama feature and has a floating lens.
This floating lens means that the camera will stay stable even if the user is very shaky. These are a couple things that the HTC 8X does not have. Do not let those features persuade you to one over the other. The 8X is slimmer in profile and not as wide, all while maintaining a display that is almost exactly that of the Lumia 920.
Windows Phone 8 supports very high definition displays, so no need to worry about not getting an HD screen. It also features a MicroSD card slot to expand the memory up to 64 GB. All these features really make me excited to see what Windows Phone 8 will bring in the future.
As of right now, the App store does not have as many apps as say the Apple app store, but it is growing daily. In the future, Windows Phone is sure to be a big competitor with Apple and Android. Heck, it already is with the sales it’s making.
Windows Phone 8 all together makes life simpler. Today’s busy lifestyles need something to cool things off. Windows Phones simplicity is one that should at least be tried. As a huge Apple fan, I can personally say that Windows Phone 8 has really captured my attention.
It has made me reconsider my last phone choice. Windows Phone 8 is unique, simple, and overall just a fantastic operating system. It shows the future of all devices. The simple lifestyle is one that a ton of people are looking for today.
