A punk band from New York, Pentimento rocked the house at the Crofoot in Pontiac on January 12, 2013 taking the stage to celebrate booking agency, Fusion Shows’ 5th anniversary. They shared the stage with a range of bands from different genres such as: La Dispute, The Swellers and Into it Over it.

Pentimento is one of those bands that skirts the line between punk and hardcore in the vein of Lifetime, characterized by their aggressive vocals, fast pace and chord progression.

They are some of the most appreciative and gracious band members I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting; it’s something that I haven’t encountered in the punk or hardcore scene in a long time.

“Just because we happen to put the pen to paper doesn’t make these songs andmore ours than they are yours,” said drummer Michael Hansen.

They capture a range of emotion that is a breath of fresh air in the scene. Whether it be heartache or happiness, they paint a perfect picture.

While Pentimento might not be the most well known band in the punk scene…yet, their live show is one of the most energetic you will ever see. These guys truly love what they do and they are going to be doing big things in 2013.
