Student Activities Board President, Brendan Gallagher is always dressed to impress on the second floor of the University Center. Wearing a grey V-neck sweater with a dark green dress shirt and a black tie peeping out of the collar, Brendan looks as though he might have just walked out of a business meeting and onto campus. Who doesn’t admire a guy that walks around with a tie on?

Along with knowing how to dress, Brendan definitely knows how to shop. His entire outfit, with the exception of his black peacoat (from Burlington Coat Factory), was purchased from H&M and JCPenney. “My style is my own,” says Brendan. Knowing that Brendan’s professional wardrobe comes at a decent price is refreshing. Fashion doesn’t necessarily have to be about labels and luxury. Brendan is definitely proof that you can look good for less, but sorry ladies, he’s already spoken for!

We spotted Rabab Hammoud last week in CASL looking funky and chic on her way to take an exam. Her Chanel logo inspired long sleeve shirt was topped with a black leather Material Girl jacket. Over her shoulder dangled a cross-body Louis Vuitton monogram bag and in her other hand she carried her books. Her shiny pant leggings that were purchased at a boutique on Las Olas Blvd. in Florida were tucked into her black, suede booties that she snagged from Bakers. Pre-law and on a mission, Rabab was the essence of sexy yet comfortable with her bold look and long wavy hair. She’s definitely turning heads as she goes by!

Zahra Abadi, 22, is currently studying for her undergrad in Learning Disabilities. Zahra undoubtedly has a passion for fashion, even when the weather doesn’t comply. “I love buying clothes! I look through magazines just to get ideas.”Although most people follow styles from today’s celebrities, Zahra likes to create her own styles. “I just love getting different things and matching them up.” Zahra’s trendy flared, black peacoat was purchased from Rue 21 and her knee high light brown boots she bought from Manic Shoes. Tucked into her boots were dark skinny jeans from JCPenny and her stylish cheetah print hijab was from no other than H&M.

Every week, we continue to be on the lookout for students who do us proud at UM-D. We’re midway through the winter semester peeps. Stay warm and stay fashionable!
