On March 5, 2013, beginning at 9 a.m., the Lecturer’s Employee Organization (LEO) and University of Michigan administration will be meeting on the University of Michigan Dearborn campus to bargain over the renewing of their three-year contract.

Members of the LEO union, which includes lecturers from the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses, have been collectively bargaining since the beginning of the year to receive a more equitable pay package from the university.

As of right now, the administration has put forth that Ann Arbor lecturers will receive no pay raises for the next three years, and benefits will be defined as “descriptions only.”

If an agreement is reached tomorrow, both the union and the University of Michigan will be announcing the specifics of the new contract.

For more information on LEO, visit www.leounion.org.
