Your silhouette lingers unwearyingly;
Hushed and veiled by winter’s callous breeze.
Seducing my thoughts insidiously—
Your fleeing presence is merely a tease.
Love Lies Bleeding beneath the hardened ground,
Awaiting with a yearning unsurpassed.
As fond memories flood my mind unbound,
With sweet aromas of all my loves past.
Make haste and be gone wintery weather,
With your dreary darkness and dismal death!
Let earth rejuvenate for the better
And permit her to draw in a new breath!
Be gone evil winter, cease and desist!
Allow new life to come forth and exist.
