The University of Michigan-Dearborn wrestling club is hosting a general membership meeting at Detroit Jiu Jitsu on Sept. 4 at 3:30 p.m.

According to coach Grant MacKenzie, the meeting’s purpose is to get organized for the start of practice in Oct.

“Anyone who is interested in the Hawks & Wolverines wrestling program is invited to attend,” MacKenzie said.

The Hawks and Wolverines Wrestling Club, a collaboration with neighboring Henry Ford College through the bridge program, was established prior to last season.

Detroit Jiu Jitsu is located at 13939 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, Mich. The club’s agenda for the meeting includes introductions, scheduling of practice and competitions, fundraisers, campus flyers to raise awareness and for recruiting, and a Q-&-A session.
