After putting up a valiant effort against one of the top ranked teams in the nation in Davenport University, men’s soccer (3-4) traveled to Marygrove University (3-4-1) on September 30th hoping to bounce back and continue on with their winning ways.

Unfortunately, that’s not how the cards unfolded, as the Wolverines dropped another by a final score of 4-2.

Marygrove led by a score of 1-0 at halftime, but three quick goals only 14 minutes apart decimated the Wolverines, putting them down by a score of 4-0.

There was little to no hope on the horizon for the struggling offense until junior forward Hussein Hassan knotted two goals for the Wolverines late in the second half at the 81st and 88th minute to help stop the bleeding, but clearly that was not enough.

The Wolverines were outshot by a final margin of 15-4, with only three of them being on target and ironically enough, two of them resulted in goals

After another tough loss of 0-3 against Lourdes University, the Wolverines prepare to host Indiana Institute of Technology on Oct. 7. After starting the season off with some solid victories, the team will have to break their current losing streak.
