The University of Michigan – Dearborn Wolverines traveled to Fort Wayne Wednesday night to take on the Indiana Tech Warriors. The Wolverines unfortunately fell to the Warriors in three matches — 25-15, 25-13, 25-11, respectively.

“We didn’t pass well enough to get aggressive swings,” head coach Eric Stark said.

Although the Wolverines were unable to come home with a victory Wednesday night, individuals had positives outcomes from the match. Freshman Kristina Ivanovic led the team with a .400 hitting average. Ivanovic had five kills as well.

Additionally, freshman Shayla Smalls had a .333 hitting average with eight kills. Unfortunately, the Wolverine .200 overall team hitting average could not stand up to Indiana Tech’s .500 average.

The Wolverines have the weekend off to prepare to face Marygrove College at Marygrove Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
