With the hockey games getting canceled this weekend, we have a basketball filled Player of the Week. The basketball players didn’t disappoint. Career highs and defense are the theme of this weeks nominations.

Here are the nominees for the Michigan Journal Player of the Week. Voting ends at 5:30p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

  • Marcus Williams - Men's Basketball, averaged 15 points and 5.5 rebounds in two wins over Northwestern Ohio and Marygrove. Also shot 11-19 (57.9%) from the field. (53%, 17 Votes)
