The City of Dearborn announced in a press release that on Michigan Avenue, no left turns will be allowed between Oakwood and Mason until at least mid-December—possibly until the end of the year. The intersections at Michigan Avenue and Mason, Monroe, and Oakwood are affected.
Traffic will shift on the eastbound side one lane north on Michigan Avenue from Mason to Oakland to “safely accommodate the Wagner Place construction project.” This will remove the center turn lane, but the two westbound lanes will remain open with the speed limit at 25 mph.
The 150,000-square foot project will transform two blocks of aging buildings into a first-floor of retail and restaurants, and two floors of workspace and a rooftop patio. It will also include a new public parking deck.
