College football season is now over.

Personally, bowl season was better than past years with more interesting games. There were more games that were closer in score than in most years.

So how did you do picking the winners?

For only spending a short amount of time picking my teams, I went 24-16, including picking Clemson to win over Alabama. We know how that worked out.

Some of the games I picked correctly were Big Ten games as the conference went 7-1 overall, claiming the best record in bowl games this season. The lone loss was the defeat suffered by Michigan in the Outback Bowl.

The Big Ten now goes into next season with a huge target on their backs and something to prove.

One of the biggest losses I suffered was my pick of Virginia over Navy in the Military Bowl. Navy easily handled Virginia and should have been obvious as a pick.

The Capital One Orange Bowl was also a glaring mistake as I took Miami Hurricanes over the 13-1 Wisconsin Badgers. This game wasn’t close, and as the second half got underway the Badgers took the ball and ran with it all over the field.

The other devastating loss was in the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl where I picked West Virginia to take out Utah. This game showed that Utah still has it and could really contend next season as they embarrassed West Virginia.

My pick of Clemson beating Alabama in the Allstate Sugar Bowl was just idiotic and now I see my mistake. I should have seen that Alabama would be out for revenge for last season’s devastating loss in the championship game.
