The University of Michigan-Dearborn golf teams competed in their third and final Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree this past week. 

The men’s team traveled to the Cattails Golf Club in South Lyon, Michigan on Monday and Tuesday. The Wolverines placed in 11th out of 12 teams at the event with a day-one score of 345 and a day-two score of 348. UM-Dearborn also finished in ninth out of 12 teams in the WHAC after the three jamborees. The University of Northwestern Ohio won the WHAC team championship.

Sophomore Nick Metaxas continued his impressive season by tying for 16th place with a combined score of 162. He averaged an 83 in the three tournaments, which placed him in a tie for 24th place overall. Freshman Logan Willoughby followed in a tie for 27th with a score of 168. Willoughby finished with an average of 83.33 after the three events and tied for 27th.

On Thursday and Friday, the women’s team played in their final WHAC Jamboree of the season at Northville Hills Golf Club in Northville, Michigan. UM-Dearborn placed in 10th out of 11 teams with a two-round score of 818. After the three WHAC events, the Wolverines finished in 10th place overall. 

Freshman Sofia Cueva posted an overall score of 173 and finished in 13th place individually. Freshman Adeline Lau followed right behind in a tie for 15th with a two-day score of 175. 

The men’s team will conclude the fall portion of their schedule on Monday at the Motor City Invitational hosted by Wayne State University at the TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan. Tee time is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.

The women’s team has finished the fall portion of their schedule. They will return to action in the spring.
