This past holiday season there were so many ways to get into the holiday spirit, and makeup so happens to be one of them. These 12 makeup artists and enthusiasts (including myself) used their faces to embody not only the Christmas spirit but the spirit of winter as well.

It’s hard to not become overwhelmed with holiday cheer when seeing these makeup looks. The creative use of glitter, rhinestones, ornaments, and Christmas bows, makes you want to stay in the holiday spirit for the month of December and January.

These artists truly show that they own the colors red, green, and blue. Some popular makeup looks I have seen on my Instagram timeline were makeup looks of the well-known character Grinch. Two of these artists recreated the Grinch really well with their use of special FX makeup and holiday props.

Let’s not forget about the makeup looks that were inspired by the weather of this holiday season! Three makeup artists (including myself) tapped into their creativity to create makeup looks incorporating the colors blue and white. They also played with the usage of frost, snow, and snowflakes being drawn individually on their faces.

The last common holiday look I saw were reindeer inspired makeup looks. Two of the artists recreated themselves as holiday reindeers. One look incorporated a red and brown antler headband paired with a distinctive eyeshadow look. Another reindeer look incorporated the spirit of winter by creating the reindeer utilizing their left eye as if it was the reindeer’s eyes. The candy cane design was also prevalent in multiple makeup looks on my timeline. This well-known pattern was used to create eyeliner and eyeshadow looks.

Some of the top five common makeup products used in all of these makeup looks are:

  1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics Eye Primer
  2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics DipBrow Pomade
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics Luminous Foundation
  4. NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Pencil in Milk
  5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics Norvina Volume 2 Pro Palette
