Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson visited the University of Michigan-Dearborn and spoke to students and faculty explaining DHS, its history, the adjustments made to the department since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and their precautions installed in light of recent attacks world wide.

UM-Dearborn students attend inauguration for U-M president

This past Friday, Mark Schlissel was officially inaugurated as the fourteenth president of the University of Michigan. Among those in attendance were Governor Rick Snyder and University of Michigan-Dearborn’s own Student Government President Sarah Elhelou and Vice President Bradley Pischea.
Along with being invited to the ceremony, both Elhelou and Pischea were active participants. Both students were in dress robes and Pischea was given the duty of carrying the UM-Dearborn flag.

Beydoun leads alumni to rout in Maize and Blue Bowl

On a fourth down attempt, with the ball approximately 10 yards from the end zone, Beydoun was looking for a receiver that appeared to be wide open, but then defensive back and self-proclaimed “LeBron James of flag football” Michael Parker, came away with a big stop to keep it a one possession game.
